[at-l] can opener?

Hi all..

I promise, I don't often carry cans of beans or stew (my knees would 
revolt),  but tuna, or other canned meats and treats (smoked oysters)
do find their way into my pack.  My problem is finding a way into the 
can.  For me, those boy scout thingees just don't cut it...at least 
very well.  After a couple doz. cans they seem to loose their edge.
And the edges they leave are lethal.  What do you use.  Are some BS 
style cutters better than others.  Is this a case of quality counts?
Or have you found another answer?
