[at-l] re: power bars / gu

i don't mind power bars (keep a case in the truck for last minute
emergencies). i really like cliff bars. but all these energy bars are a
little heavy for me, though they work well physiologically.

the jury is still out on Gu. i've tried some in a climbing gym when i was
a little fatigued, and it was weird, but it worked. i hear it is better
than the bars for winter fun because it remains liquid and doesn't freeze
solid (is that redundant?). i'll be going on an overnight ski tour in utah
next week, and i'll take some along to test. let you know then what i think.
