re: backpack choices, i have searched from pennsylania to canada looking and
of the 10 or so i have tried (inc. models from NF, dana, osprey,
mountainsmith, lowe...) i've decided to go with the dana terraplane. nothing
else felt as good or had the type pockets i was looking for. i can get it
for 330 at ems (as can anyone near an EMS) this coming thursday (club day,
FYI). the pack has a lifetime guarantee on just about everything and dana
owners tell me that the factory is prompt in replacement in the rare occasion
that a repair is needed. i'll have the pack for the rest of my
life--justification for the $$$.
it feels good to FINALLY have made this decision.
