NOOO!! this is for a car camping trip! Even I'm not insane enough to bring
a big assed tent hiking.
I've got four (maybe five) people coming with me next weekend for some
camping and canoeing. I've got a nice big spot reserved at Jonathon Dickinson
Park. And the Boy DOES NOT camp, bless his heart. He did rent us a room at the
new and luxurious Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino for Valentines, though
:) I'm spending the day at the spa..... Get my tired and icky camping
piggies pampered.

So, "The Boy" is carrying that house out on the trail? Perhaps you could
get it to where it is going to be set up by splitting the parts among those who
will be benefiting from its use. One person take some poles, another the
canvas, another the rope or line, another the stakes, etc., and voila! There it
is!
If people don't bring their own equipment they don't deserve shelter. Of
course, if you really want those people with you then your intentions MAY get
them out on the trail but I suspect that they will wimp out on you and then
you will only have an emergency shelter for when the next hurricane comes
roaring through Florida.
