We all do it, deal poorly with challenges to out self image that we don't 
know how to handle. I could list examples aplenty from AT-L including some 
of my own. The difference between assuming someone is deliberately 'being 
exclusive' and recognizing it as a natural reaction to something they don't 
have cultural skills to handle is one of judgement/understanding. As I've 
said before, we all choose our own attitude every day. You can see it as a 
kettle/pot distinction if you choose to. I don't.
