I've used Body Glide in triathlons to help getting the wetsuit on and  off.  
I've also used it to lube the inner thighs on the bike and the  run.  Nothing 
will give you a case of monkey butt quicker than getting  out of a long 
salt-water swim and then going for a long bike ride  and then a long run.
Body Glide works extremely well and it doesn't have a  reaction with other 
materials that a petroleum based product (such as  Vaseline) may have.  
I always use either Body Glide or AquaPhor while running or  hiking.  You can 
even use it on your feet to prevent blisters.
