Don't use MS browser or email client
Disable Messenger Service http://tinyurl.com/95kw6
Do use Spyware Blaster; Spybot; Ad-Aware; there are others
And of course use a firewall and virus protection
Haven't seen the German spam. I get one spam a day, some days none.
