Isn't it amazing how intelligent people can read the same book and get such 
totally different messages or impressions of the characters?

I liked it, anticipate a mildly entertaining movie, and doubt Mr. Bryson 
needs to waste his time with thru hikers whose self esteem is so easily 
insulted.
