[at-l] WAY OT: hiking in Asia (my new goal for '08-09)

Having spent a lot of time in Asia I was wondering if anyone on the 
list has hiked for two more weeks straight in Japan, Korea, or China?  
It would seem like a great way to see either Japan or Korea (both being 
somewhat small) or selected parts of China.  Granted, I don't speak 
Japanese and my Mandarin is horrible, but I think I could communicate 
in Korea well enough.

Wouldn't it be nice if every country had an AT?  I think so.

Does anyone on the list have an direct experience hiking in Asia?
