            Maybe Redford can use the movie to play up the potential tragedy 
about to happen in Maine in order to solicit public support.


           If they wanted to help the Trail they could use public liking of 
them personally to send a Trail message. Like a campfire conversation about 
what a treasure the Trail is and what a great hike they had, leading into the 
Maine predicament...
