Predictions are based on the direction it is moving. You have to watch it
over time. If it is rising, the weather is getting better (high pressure =
sunshine). If it is falling, bad weather is coming (low pressure =
clouds/rain). Since altimeters work by measuring pressure too, going up and
down mountains may affect the relative movement.
