[at-l] Clothing "You know you're a hiker if....."

You know, someone needs to send Matt the "You Know You're a Backpacker..."
thingy. I don't have it anymore, and no one's posted it this year, but I'd
love to re-read it, too. Who's got it handy where you could post it?
Thanks. anklebear

Top 5 reasons I know I'm a hiker...

5. Even when I couldn't walk last year, I dreamed of hiking.

4. As soon as I got to where I could walk this year, I headed out
hiking.

3. When people suggest investments in my discretionary time, even if I
want to do it my first thought is: what about hiking? Will it interfere?

2. Instead of going after all the stuff flatlanders value I'm drooling
over and pursuing gear.

1. I'm OUTA here! Gotta go Hike! Can't not hike! (nevermind the 42
point TO-DO list with great rewards)

addressed my christmas cards. speaking of which, anybody have any stamps i
can borrow?

The other day I was hiking on the Rails-to-Trails trail and came to one of
the trail heads just as my father-in-law was driving by. He stopped and
asked if I wanted a ride. If I rode with him he would go the back way to my
house and there would be a gate to open if I kept walking I could just go up
the front. I decided I really didn't want to mess with the gate so I hiked
on. After he left I thought to myself "I must be nuts it is six miles to
the house.

I must be a hiker if I would rather walk six miles than open a gate!

Remember the thread last year or the year before (what?! already?!) about
"You know you're a hiker if....."? Well, I know I'm a hiker because I
signed off on my Anglican Musicians list as anklebear. Traditionally, we
sign off with our full name and church and location. They'll be scratching
their heads on that one. (c: Leslie (anklebear)
