[at-l] Kokopelli Trail water caches? (off list)

Good question. The anwer is that we hope to be hiking. We could take time
off in Fruita or Grand Junction, CO and try to cache water. It would
probably take us 3-4 days off the trail in the middle of our hike. It would
involve renting a Jeep and driving to/from Moab. It is probably no cheaper
than having the outfitter cache the water. We thought about cacheing water
that way, but we prefer to keep walking west. That plan is still a backup
plan.

By the way we have already cached water from Moab, UT across southern Utah
and central Nevada. See www.trailjournals.com/GottaWalkadt entry Prep #3.

Ken,

This is just curiosity, but what would keep you from doing your own water
drops? I do food drops for myself on some trails. Not tryin' to be a smart
aleck, just asking.
