[at-l] SORUCK update (12/10/04)...
I'm not very excited about two, or more, simultaneous meals. Hey it's a
get-together, not a split up into cliques and leave folk (esp. new comers)
out.
The one person in charge, central focus meals (such as OB's pancake-breakfast)
tend to work well in a single kitchen. However, getting stuff ready for the
pot-luck segments tends to be too many cooks, too many crock-pots, too many
electric frying pans, too much this-just-needs-to-be-heated-up, etc vs. too
few eyes on the stove, too few electric plugs, etc. So, IMHO, kitchens in the
cabins could be a big plus, assuming the folk in each cabin coordinate well.
Work space, stoves, etc. away from the main kitchen in the community room
would allow folk to bring pot-luck pots ready to eat.

we will have a kitchen in the community room, and kitchens in the
cabins, there may be an opportunity to mix things up a bit and have two
meals at once.
