I saw the bear just north of south of Rausch Gap Shelter. I rounded a corner and he was sitting there on the trail. He looked at me, I looked at him and he decided that it was time to go. When other hikers describe the bears as being black as night, that is the only description of his fur that fits... It is a beautiful animal! Sparky-PA
