I have a friend who does sports podiatry - primarily making $500+ insoles
and makes a pretty good living doing it. I haven't dropped money on him,
but he starts where Phil Orens starts. I'd definitely recommend someone
with foot trouble and hiking to seek Phil Oren's advice whenever feasible.
But just as in medicine, I'd take that Oren's information and other
information together before making your own decision or opening your wallet.

I forgot to mention, I wear orthotics too. I love them. I also have a blown
rubber
pad over the orthotic, and thick socks. Works for me! Be sure what you get
works for you, whatever it is. Be informed, and shop around.
