YORK (AP) - For the sixth straight year, "Miles" the Maine Turnpike Moose will show up at the York toll plaza on Labor Day to wave goodbye to visitors and help toll collectors distribute souvenir computer moose pads.

The Maine Turnpike Authority has made a Labor Day tradition of handing out mementos such as refrigerator magnets, calendars and pennants at the toll plaza.

Miles the Moose will be joined by "Spuddie" the Maine Potato in handing out 20,000 computer pads showing a view of Mount Katahdin. The pads also have Web site addresses and phone numbers where visitors can get information about Maine tourism and turnpike traffic.
