Carlos Adames was back in Connecticut this week, briefly, as he stopped to catch up with old friends and to talk to reporters while on a trek from Spring Mountain, Ga., to Mt. Katahdin, Maine. The Litchfield firefighter is hiking the Appalachian Trail in an effort to raise funds to fight breast cancer.
