Not at all. My granddaughter was born in Augusy 2003 and I told her parents 
that when she was 10, I could take her with me on my through hike to 
celebrate my 70th birthday!

Never too soon to start planning...by then we'll have lights along the 
entire trail as well as B&B's in place of the shelters!
