[at-l] 2026 thru hiker

I don't know about a thru, but one of mine granddaughters started
backpacking [or was that being backpacked] at eight months.

My daughter packed her. I packed the rest. For weekender w/ shelter stops
it was great. Glad I didn't have to carry enough tents for all of us, also.

See: http://friends.backcountry.net/hatt/at003e07.jpg for her first night in
a shelter.

PS -- In that you said "my grandbaby is a boy" all singular, congratulations
and welcome to the crowd of Old Farts. BTW -- when your oldest grand is
getting ready for his second tour in Iraq (or whatever it is at that time),
you know what it is like to really feel old.

Today I found out my grandbaby is a boy. Do ya think it is to early to
start planning his first thru hike.
