[at-l] Blazes in RMNP

Just as an FYI, most of those blazes are along trails
that see double duty as X-country ski trails in the
winter.(i.e around the Bear Lake area. Most visitors
seem to check this place out) I suspect they were
reflective because they easily stick out in white out
conditions that can sometimes happen in winter. Many
of other x-country ski trails have these same types of
blazes in the winter. In the higher trails and on
lower use trails (like the ones on the Western side of
the park), blazes are rare.

In all seriousness, I rather like the standard 2x6
white rectangle for the AT. Simple, not overly
obstrusive, and brings back some nice memories. Been a
while since I've seen a white AT blaze. Saw them in
October at the Gathering...will have to see them next
weekend at the ALDHA meeting...
