Weary asks: Does everyone (anyone?) fall as often as did Benny Green and his friend?


The second year that we section-hiked in GA was a very wet year.  I remember us falling quite a bit.  Those were in the days when we carried one pole.  I remember one slope where we fell on our butts and slid all the way down, nothing to get purchase on.  

Since then, I usually fall once, maybe twice, each outing.
