[at-l] CYA

Time to move on. My ISP will be cut tomorrow. I'll be heading to Maine for
the next 10 months to get myself in physical and mental shape for the LT
this fall and then the AT next year. I've learned a lot from many folks over
the last 2 years. I've gone from a stealth hiker to a savvy stealth hiker.
My pack has gone from 45 pounds to 30 pounds max.
I also hope this list survives and returns to being a list for hikers and
hiking related friendly issues. For the last several months this list has
been weighted heavily in pure unrelated (to hiking) OT crap. It's always the
same control freaks sucking in anyone they can get. No need for me to list
these assholes by name because we all know who they are and, unfortunately,
we put up with their callous use of this list. Come on, face it, when I have
to delete 90% of the posts before I can begin reading, then something smells
real bad.
For most of you folks, I wish you well and many years and miles of trails
ahead. To the few who have made this list intolerable, I wish you well
too -- maybe a deep one without internet service.
Thanks again. This is a good time of year to return to Maine. CYA, Amber.
