Reference your post and my post, both dated 2-4-04.

I forgot to mention.  (This must, therefore, be considered a post script.)  
Years ago I was advised taking Rolaids before you begin your ascent will 
eliminate, or at least help to reduce, altitude sickness (AKA Mountain 
Sickness).  The sooner you begin to take them, the better.  How fast do you 
drive?
