Jack -
Welcome. And I'm happy to have you clarify that - and that you're thinking
about other places. But I didn't forget anything - your clarification has
nothing to do with what I wrote, my friend. .

Nor did I say the AT was always the same. I know as well as you that every
hike - even over the same ground in the same weather, etc - is different.

What I DID say - and the ONLY thing I said was that, like me, you're an
addict. We may express it in different ways and different places - we may
even sometimes disagree about some things - but basically we're "brothers
under the skin." Go read Mags' post - and consider - does that Robert
Service poetry fit you? Of course it does - just as it fits me. <G>

As for "other trails", you'll do them in your own time, in your own way -
and I'll applaud you when you do. In fact, if you're on the CDT 900 days
from now, we'll see you out there. And I'll buy you a beer.

Walk softly,
Jim
