"Borough Fire Chief Tim Myers says several adults with small children
became stranded after they lost track of time and ran out of daylight."

So you would favor having small children subjected to a night in the cold,
quite possibly suffering from exposure or dying, so that the adults would
learn personal responsibility?

It appears that you learned personal responsibility despite having been
rescued when you were totally unprepared. So what makes you think these

responsibility.
