Hi Steve,

I assume you wrote the below with humor in mind.  In my experience on and
near the trail, I've not been in one church of any denomination that had a
desire to manipulate or remove anyone's 'fleece.'  However, I've been
personally fleeced by a couple of thru-hikers [I won't elaborate, it's not
worth it,] nevertheless, these are a rarity among thru-hiking community.
The opposite of what you implied has been my experience.  For example:
Members of the Baptist Church in Blairsville, GA took a group of us out for
dinner, springing for the check and took us to a incredible Passion Week
play which had a cast of hundreds, not mindful at all that we weren't
dressed like they and smelled a little different, and we weren't Baptists.
Certainly not a fleece job.  rusty
