But the next time you hike, hint that "GoDeans" is
more
appropriate. Now that IS a trail name!!!
I couldn't agree more! Alas, it will be kind of strange to have the trail
name "Go Dean" when I thru-hike in 2006... I mean, after all he WILL be our
president then.

I suppose that the wish to have a name that identifies one as a political
supporter is legitimate. "Go Dean" will probably be a forgotten motto by 2006.
Imagine Dean being chosen by the Democrats. That might cause both houses of
the Capitol to become solid Republican majorities, and would be the cause for a
landslide victory for "Dubya" resulting in a right turn which would eclipse
the socialist bent of government. I don't think the Democrats are that
suicidal. Now, "Go Lieb" would be a sensible trail name (Go Love?) and it would give
people a real choice if Lieberman was selected as a candidate. But then,
Nader will probably run and siphon off any chance of a Democrat getting elected.
Is he part of the secret wing of the Republican Party?
Now instead of a political slogan for a trail name is there anything about
your character that you would want to be known for in your trail name? How
about "No Heat?" Or "Green Counter?" Or "Boy's Girl?" Anything you might lean
toward? Well, you have a few years.
What do you think?
