[at-l] Group Hiking Query

There is a church in NC that does weeklong hikes with young adults. They limit their groups to 12.  Just passing that tidbit along

while talking about group hiking with a lady here, she said that she and her
husband were chaperoning a church group that would hiking part of the AT.
We got into a discussion about the maximum size of a group to hike together.
What is the suggested maximum size?
