I am a lone turtle -- usually.  Except for pick-ups for short periods.  But
while talking about group hiking with a lady here, she said that she and her
husband were chaperoning a church group that would hiking part of the AT.
We got into a discussion about the maximum size of a group to hike together.
What is the suggested maximum size?
