I totally agree with Sly.   Violence in this country has exploded into an
epidemic because we are all personally afraid to do anything about it.
Violence has become the latest paradox of the commons.  We used to be a
stoic people. We used to enforce our social contracts efficiently and at an
early age. Now we're a bunch of pansy-asses epicures, excusing every
goddammmed thing and expecting someone else to fix the problem. The
time-honored cure for bullies is that they finally 'meet their match'. In
spite of what OB would have me believe, I have seen more young bullies
transformed by fist fights and bloody noses than by any other means.
