[at-l] more perinniel stuff: digital cameras

Consumer reports also had a digital camera report:

Their recommendations:
1) Canon Powershot A-40 (about $250) (darn good choice, its the one I bought
last year)
2) Koday Easy Share DX4330 ($300)
3) Fujifilm FinePix 3800 ($400)

They say that some 2 MPixel cameras produce better 8X10 prints than some 4
MPix cameras ( A40 above mentioned as the good 2 MPix one)

They have a shots per set of batteries table, some of the good ones:

2 MPix
Canon A40: 800 shots
Koday DX4330: 900 shots
Olympus Camedia D-380: 1080 shots

4 Mpix
Camedia E-10: 520 shots
Canon G3: 700: shots

Some of the worst are below 100 shots, Minolta Dimage 7Hi only gets 25 for
example Minolta and Toshiba seem to be bottom dwellers in general.

Shots were done with every other one with flash and racking lens in and out.
Some of those numbers are incredible, alkaline batteries used.
