Actually, I think "apathetic" would be a better answer. Although "cynical"
has its appeal...

Say what you will, frankly, I think it is a GOOD thing that we are a
Republic and not a true Democracy. Can you imagine people without a clue and
caring as little as most Americans casting a vote that actually counted for
something?
