Hi Amy,

I would definitely plan on caching one gallon water jugs
before starting a hike of the Knobstone. Cache water at
maybe four or five places along the length of the Knobstone
(assuming you're thinking of doing the 50 mile original
stretch -- Deam Lake to Delaney Park -- and not the 125
mile length the Knobstone may be by now). There are times
of the year where the Knobstone may be very dry and water
sources may be slim.

I've certainly enjoyed my time on the Knobstone even though
I make it sound like it was a wrestling match with the
wildlife.
