Our trail crew has a tradition - when a newby asks "What's a Pulaski?"
they're immediately handed one - with the admonition to use it. By the end
of the day, they're intimately familiar with what a Pulaski is and what it
does --- and the backache that's a part of the learning process.

Now - asking what a Ruck is? I can barely imagine what'll come of asking
that question. Oh you poor baby - you don't know what you've done to
yourself. Just wait till those Rucksters get you in their clutches. <VBG>

Seriously (sorta) - welcome to the campfire. Just don't pay any attention
to the occasional flames. And grab a smashmellow when they go by.

Walk softly,
Jim
