No problem Cosmo, thanks for the reply.

I think I understand where you're coming from.  I would guess the main
ingredient in doing a thru-hike is *wanting to*, more than anything else.  No
amount of experience from anyone can instill this into another.

Right now, I could use 6 or 7 days on the trail myself....
