[at-l] HIKING N HUNTING

my final say on this topic,

No matter what laws, zoning or land management arenas my put forth. I think
the basic wish is to kind of separate the hunting and hiking communities,
compartmentalize them. Unfortunately this is impossible due to:

-The need for back-country is welcomed by both communities.

-There will always be hunters and there will always be hikers.

      - There will always be those who are out there to "do this" rather
than knowing and respecting the environment
         they are doing it in.

       - For every person that strives to eliminate unlawful activity, in
either community- there will be those who will "cheat" .

So, very basically the whole situation has an easy answer. THE POTENTIAL
is always there for danger. A mistaken shooting, may be from an
inexperienced , trigger happy hunter OR the inexperienced hiker who wanders
into a hunting preserve wearing deer brown clothing can happen anytime.

Of course if its not hunting season you settle in the fact most people are
law abiding and recognize the season. Conversely, there is the percentage
of everything that does not make it pure. This would include private land
owners who are ignorant to hunting laws and where stray bullets may end up,
persons specifically out there for a criminal intent and the uninformed
hiker- who is as dangerous to himself as he is to others.
