[at-l] Is Voting on topic?

--
[ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ]
Yes, voting is on topic. The Appalachian Trail is a very much a political
creation, protected for the most part by the actions of elected persons. Earl
often joked about 'walking the Government Trail.' The officials in Stroud
Township just bought some land adjacent to the AT to protect, the windmill
project in the Carrabasstt Valley will be decided politically, in Virginia a
$450K bond was at issue for Sky Meadows State Park. If you're not above
paying attention you might see that the platforms of the various parties and
candidates differ in respect to issues that relate to the Trail. You might
not approve of politics, but
politics just might keep our Trail alive. Or politics just might kill it. If
you vote, you might help. "If you don't vote, you're guaranteed to get the
government you deserve." - Ed Muskie
