Walden is still sold because many high schools make it a required reading
thats why so many of this book end up in used bookstores. I read the book
the first time back in '68 and was enthralled because I already in wanted to
hike the At trail and live in some partially isolated mountain pond wood
type home. I've read a report that Henry frequented the general store to
combat his isolation. Don't know if this is true.
