[at-l] tuna in foil



Leave it in the foil. It isn't going to begin spoiling until you open
it. The weight might be a factor, but if this is a short overnight
hike, you probably aren't carrying much more than 2 pounds of food per
person, anyway. If everyone is eating tuna, get the larger packages and
carry two of them. Appetites the first night out are rarely ravenous,
but usually prefer S'mores more than tuna.

Be sure to bear bag the trash and the food. That stuff makes a huge
smell.
