[at-l] Considerations.

Personally, I don't like the idea of lighting a squirt of any fluid that
has a likely flash point near ambient temperatures. Folks commonly ignite
themselves in back yard grilling by adding a "squirt" of lighter fluid to
an apparently dead set of charcoal. I have succeeded in doing this to
myself with alcohol. I think the label of lighter fluid would advise you it
is a petroleum distillate and needs to be handled carefully and not in
extended contact with skin. The discussion does not sound like a daily
bathing in lighter fluid.

I suspect Zip and similar lighters are superior in some ways to butane
(BIC) lighters, although there are butane lighters that act as small
torches and are quite reliable and easy to click into lighting.

I use and prefer Purell or other alcohol based gel for fire starting and
sanitation. To borrow from a local political campaign, lighter fluid is
good, but Purell is just gooder.
