Well, I left out the part of Nicholas almost not finishing the hike due to 
strangulation! ;)

A good thought! But, he is still at the age where girls are 'gross'!  :)

The rest of the story..... Friday night my cars radiator exploded on me 
(let's not even go there, please!). I ended up in the Emergency Room with 1st 
and 2nd degree burns on my face, right arm and chest. The bad news is that I 
will have a few less freckles on the right side of my face for a couple of 
years, the good news is I'll be back to hiking in a few weeks. Just enough 
time to get me some new boots which I learned Thursday that I desperately 
need!
