FIRE UPDATE - Central Virginia Fire Contained; A.T. Scheduled to Reopen June 22 - According to U.S. Forest Service reports, the Marbleyard fire that closed a 10-mile stretch of the A.T in the James River Face Wilderness between the James River (U.S. 501) and Petites Gap (USFS 35, Blue Ridge Parkway Mile 71) has been 100 percent contained. The A.T. is scheduled to reopen Saturday June 22. The nearby Gunter Ridge Trail will remain closed due to hazardous conditions.
