 That's taken from the far end of Sandy Stream Pond, on the east side of 
Katahdin. Pamola Peak is under the 'W', the Knife Edge is under the 'A' and 
Baxter Peak is under the 'L'.
 You're right, it doesn't make sense to have a pic of that side of Katahdin 
on a book about through hiking - to *us*! Normal people wouldn't notice :O)
