[at-l] Hiking Music

Hey All,

We got off topic a bit with music. I know a while back a number of people posted what type of music they listen to while hiking. I do carry a small radio so that I can get the news and weather in the morning before heading out. Otherwise I do not listen to anything while hiking (other than the blood pounding in my head). At night I usually like to listen to classical music, or occasionally singer/songwriter stuff. True a day without the Dead is like a day without sunshine, but I very seldom listen to them or any of the other 'rock and roll' groups while hiking. I think that it has something to do with an attitude that I have developed in that I do not want to dull my sense of hearing. I find that I am much more sensitive to the sounds of nature around me and that all of my senses are at a heighten state when I am hiking.
