[at-l] Hiking with ADD (hyperactivity)

On the trail, his ADD won't be an issue. While he's walking, there's always
something NEW to capture his attention. When my wife taught a special
education class (years before we were married), I chaperoned her class on
several field trips for a number of years. It's amazing how kids who are
classified with a Behavior Disorder are just fine when something interesting
is going on. Fresh air and sunshine have a remarkable effect.

Talk to his parents, and then to his doctor. He can probably be taken off
the Ritalin while hiking. His body would probably appreciate it...

I'll respect your wishes as to comments about the drug...
