[at-l] Trail Days

I'll be missing it this year, but mostly I'll be missing seeing all of
ya'll. I'm too busy. I've been planning on going, but I haven't slowed
down like I usually do after the thru-hiker rush. I wanted to take a few
days and hike while I was up, but that's not happening either. I'm
taking some time off in July to go up and do that. July 18 will be 2
years since my dad died, and he loved the mountains so much that I am
going to be up in them on that anniversary, a few days before I turn 36
(!?!). So have fun. I'll see you all at the Gathering. (I like it
better, anyway :)

Sad to hear about Earl. What a loss for the Trail community, how glad I
am that I got to meet him and talk with him several times. Even "Steve"
felt bad when I told her. Now Earl's hiking The Big Trail, I guess -
maybe he'll meet my pop. Funny, isn't it, to be sad and glad at the
same time.

Somebody let me know if there will be fund raising for an Earl memorial,
I'd love to help.
