[at-l] Tornadoes

I've been waiting to see a trip report from someone in the woods during last week's storms.

Hurricane Andrew (?) a few years back swept up Georgia's Cohutta gorge and left a pick up stix stack of blowdowns across a number of trails ... even three years later it's something to behold

Mapquest.  From what I can tell it did infact pass right over the Trail.  
Obviously, the reports of the damage on the AT were consistant with that.  
Can you even imagine what that would have been like in the woods?
