Being a fellow lowly sectioner (not even that, yet) I think you should
take the hammock. I know you haven't slept in it down to the planned
temps, but I have and I was quite comfy. And I'm not an especially
warm sleeper. You can always, if you get too cold in the air, set
it up as a tent.
I spent a happy night swaying in the breeze on a night where the temps
hovered just around freezing, a few weeks ago. And that was before
I made my much warmer reflectix shield. I think you should go for it.
Think how much more comfy you'll be.
