Your welcome Bob. A little tip, when using the compass pick the stick straight up
by the cork like you were lifting a wine glass. The stick will then become plumb
and the compass will quickly settle for a reading. It's easier than keeping the
stick planted on the ground and moving the top of the stick back and forth until you
can get the stick plumb. It's a rather basic compass but it should keep you from
heading in the wrong direction in the morning after retracing you steps from the
blue blaze into a shelter.
